ALMAN ENGINEERING SERVICES was formed as a partnership in 1979, by Alan Wills and Mike Allen, both time served engineers with experience ranging from the quality and planning requirements of the aircraft industry to the cost effectiveness of the small engineering sub-contractor.

The aim then, as now, was to provide an unbeatable service combining high standards of quality and delivery together with competitive pricing.

The business grew steadily in size and expertise, investment in up to date machinery always being a priority, and a Limited Company was formed in 1984 with the former Partners as Directors and Shareholders.

In December 1995, having outgrown the original premises, the Company purchased and moved into a 5000 square feet modern unit on the Finedon Road Industrial Estate in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

The location of the company, close to Silverstone, Rockingham and Santa Pod Raceways, together with the skills and experience of the workforce, led to an increasing involvement in the manufacture of parts for all areas of motorsport.
In particular, several internationally known Formula 1 teams and companies involved in the high tech. areas of race car and engine design have found the combination of high quality and prompt delivery to be essential to their purchasing requirements.

The introduction of Planit EdgeCam modeling and programming software, further enhanced the CNC programming and machining capabilities and in order to demonstrate the ongoing commitment to quality for existing and potential customers, the Company's quality systems were assessed and approved to ISO 9000 in December 1997.
To date, registration and annual assessment continues to ISO 9001 : 2008.

There are currently 10 employees, the majority being skilled engineers working on orders for a broad customer base which apart from the motorsport teams, includes major household names in such fields as Ministry of Defence contracting, prestige motor vehicle and precision machinery manufacture.

The Directors and Staff today are as committed as ever to ensuring that prompt response to the need of customers, flexibility and personal attention to detail, remain the main priorities.
